About Me

Hi there! I'm Lindsey.

I'm passionate about a lot of things, but topping the list are childhood, art, and literacy. I grew up in San Diego, CA, in a home where whimsy and family legacy were held in equally high esteem. Case in point: every year we eat Christmas Eve dinner on my great-grandmother's china, but the main course is always In-N-Out burgers and fries.

After graduating from Seattle Pacific University with my BA in Sociology, I moved to Nashville, TN, where I earned my MA in Teaching from Belmont University. In the years since, I have taught preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade in Montessori, private, and public schools. I am a primary teacher through and through, and am convinced that childhood becomes even more magical as kids grow. I've had the honor of teaching students with diverse needs, and care deeply about cultivating a classroom environment of inclusion. One of my favorite parts of teaching is developing quality, integrated units for the primary classroom, and I'm excited to share those with you here.

When I'm not in the classroom, you'll find me with a brush pen in my hand, practicing the art of hand lettering. I've been commissioned to transform everything from wedding vows to an apology letter into art, and love that creative process. You can see more of my work here, if you'd like.

I am married to Jon Viducich, the kindest man in the world. He also happens to be a water engineer who is passionate about international development. We live in a little fixer-upper with three chickens that my students named Sticky, Olive, and Last Lover. On the weekends, you'll find us working on house projects or hosting family and friends.
